1. Who we are

Reelym, Inc. ("Reelym," "we," "us") operates the Reelym personal documentary platform. Contact: support@reelym.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, profile bio, plan tier
  • Memories: photos, videos, audio, titles, descriptions, dates, locations, moods, tags
  • Usage data: feature usage, reel generation, share events, device/browser type
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe; we store customer ID and subscription status, not full card numbers
  • Guest contributions: name and content submitted via collective, collab, or inbox links
  • Communications: support emails, legacy message content you schedule

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the service: generate AI documentaries, family sharing, legacy delivery, notifications, billing, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We do not sell your memories or personal data.

4. AI processing

When enabled, memory content may be sent to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) to generate narration, search, and documentary scenes. See our AI Transparency page. You can disable AI analysis in Settings.

5. Sharing

We share content only when you choose to: share links, publish to Discover, invite family/guests, or use Studios partner features. Service providers (hosting, email, payments, AI) process data under contract.

6. Retention

We retain data while your account is active. Deleted accounts are removed within 30 days except where law requires retention. Scheduled legacy messages and time capsules are retained until delivery or deletion.

7. Your rights

Export your data in Settings. Request deletion in Settings or email support@reelym.com. EU/UK/California residents: see Your Data Rights.

8. Children

Reelym is not for children under 13 (16 in the EU without parental consent). We delete accounts if we learn a child registered without proper consent.

9. International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States. We use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers where required.

10. Changes

We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
